The key difference lies in the rail system and installation process. Straight stairlifts use a standard rail that runs along a single, straight staircase without any turns or landings. Curved stairlifts, on the other hand, are custom-manufactured to fit staircases with bends, curves, or intermediate landings. Because curved stairlifts are made specifically for your unique staircase layout, they cannot be rented

Stairlifts are primarily electric and plug into a standard 3-pin outlet in your home. However, they also include a built-in battery backup system that automatically activates during a power outage, ensuring you can still safely use your stairlift even when the electricity is out.

It is very rare that a stairlift won’t be able to be installed on a specific type of staircase. We are very lucky due to the vast manufactures we work with as an independent company we are able to install stairlifts to suit most requirements.
